Parade Rules
IMPORTANT! Absolutely NO items may be thrown or tossed from floats. Failure to comply will result in being pulled from the parade and ineligibility to participate in future parades.
- Deadline for entries is December 4, 2024
- Staging will be at the Hempstead High School parking lot starting at 4:30PM.
- Parade entries should be in place by 5:30PM. All participants will stay in their place until authorized to advance by a parade committee member.
- Speed of entries and traffic control will be under the direction of Hempstead Police Department with assistance from area Law Enforcement Agencies.
- Please drive slowly and pace yourself with the entry in front of you.
- Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances is strictly prohibited.
- The parade chairman and committee reserve the right to refuse any entry.
- The Hempstead Commerce and Civic Association and the parade committee will not be held responsible for any accidents.
- You may walk and pass out items but nothing may be thrown from the moving entry. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be immediately removed from the parade and excluded from all future parades.
- NO Blow-up Santa’s.
- Awards will be presented at 6:45PM at the gazebo.
